Allow your hard-earned donation to benefit those who are truly vulnerable – change a life!
The main objective of this project is to provide clothing to men, women and children who cannot afford to buy any. Some will also be sold in our charity shop to generate an income to help sustain our other projects.
Giving clothes is a great way of helping out the community, donations of clothing can make a great difference to an individual or organisation trying to support the helpless, and vulnerable.
Your used clothing can make a difference in many lives. Donating clothing is fast, easy and free. Your clothes – five minutes – Their lives. Gather your used clothing in boxes or bags, and deliver to our office or give us a call – we are happy to collect.
Questions from donours:
If I leave things at SANTA Johannesburg’s office in Brixton, or you pick them up how do I know you’ll distribute them fairly?
When you leave or we collect items we’ll ask you to register your items in our project log book. We’ll ask for you name, e-mail address and a brief description of the items you are donating. We’ll keep a file of our distributions including details of the items distributed, the date and area, as well as a accurate journal of each distribution. All will be available for inspection in our office.
How does SANTA Johannesburg distribute the clothes?
Distribution of the items is an important part of the project. Driving to communities and handing out items to everyone that we meet would cause chaos, and wouldn’t ensure that the items are distributed fairly to the really needy people. Instead we decide upon a criteria that our beneficiaries need to meet, and in view of that ensure that everyone receives what they need.
PLEASE WE ARE ALSO DESPERATELY IN NEED OF BLANKETS, SHOES, SHEETS, TOWELS, ANYTHING THAT YOU HAVE AVAILABLE TO DONATE
